Sunday morning we attended the Limerick Branch. Going to a church service in another country is one of my favorite things to do while traveling. You usually meet people with common connections, missionaries, former school mates or relatives, and feel welcomed. This was the case in Limerick.
It was a very international group. There were people from Australia, Ghana, Spain, and The Philippines to name just a few I noticed. We stayed for all three hours and loved our morning here. I particularly loved the Relief Society lesson taught by a sister from Spain.
We spent about an hour in a museum in the middle of Limerick. It was small but full of a collection mostly amassed by one family. I bet all the heirs were very grateful their parents donated to a museum so they didn't have to keep dusting the artifacts.
So sad we missed the potato market. It sounds like a really good time
The River Shannon flows through Limerick, rising and lowering with the tides. I saw a giant rat in the weeds and felt like Dick Whittington and was wishing for a cat, even though that is a London story.

Across the street from the castle is a row of shops. This market had a striking mural which caught my eyeball.
We had dessert in a nice pub called The Locke. It is a popular place with a convivial crowd. There were two musicians playing and a dancer who came out and performed a few jigs.
