Do You Know They Haul Guinness In Tanker Trucks?

The long flight to Dublin wasn't exactly flawless. I was on a the back row in a seat that refused to recline so the Trtl didn't keep my head from bobbing like cork on a fishing line. Fortunately, The lively streets of Dublin woke us right up. We dropped off our suitcases at the hotel and walked around for a few hours before our friends arrived.

Trinity college is in the heart of Dublin, full of old buildings, young students, and ancient manuscripts like the Book of Kells. We didn't see the Book of Kells because they wouldn't let us cut in line.

This tree is even older than me.

We were so happy to see our friends, Keith and Carol Brook and Keith and Yvonne Kennedy arrive from London and Gateshead. They are the excuse we use to travel and we love being with them. Mark helped teach Carol and Yvonne when he served as a missionary in England. We were so happy to reconnect with them 10 years ago.

Our room at the Maple hotel was on the fourth floor, basically pigeon level. It was well used and contained a bed big enough for Tiny Tim and his half brother. Oh, I meant to say Tiny Tim and half a brother. We didn't care. Jet lag lead us into sweetly into slumber amidst traffic noise and Saturday night drinking songs.
